G-Sensor in Dash Cam
Our ROVE R2-4K dashcam has an advanced in-built G-sensor that allows the camera to detect motion and instantly begin recording. This sensor instructs the dashcam to start recording immediately only when the force of an impact reaches its sensitivity. The footage captured by G-Sensor activation gets locked into an emergency section of the camera memory, preventing them from being overwritten by successive files or the standard loop recording feature.
What is a G-sensor?
What is a G-sensor?
The G-sensor enables the dashboard camera to detect any unexpected movement in or around your car -- such as harsh braking, shock from collision, or even when someone crashes your car while parked.
The G-sensor in the Rove R2-4K dashcam is the gravity accelerometer sensor or gravity induction protection system. That measures the acceleration and G-Force.
The sensor relies on the registered value of the accelerometer, which gets set by your dashcam's firmware upon installation. You can modify the G sensor's time frame and register value (sensitivity) according to your needs in the Rove R2-4K dashcam
How Does G Sensor Work on Dash Cam?
The G-sensor monitor's activity from every direction around the car, including up, down, left and right, front and backward.
During an incident -- if the force of the unwanted collision reaches the preset value of the G-sensor. The sensor instantly switches the dashcam to 'event mode' for 1 minute.
After completing the recording, the G-sensor automatically locks the footage and saves it to a specific section of the camera's memory, which cannot be overwritten by any successive footage you capture or by the standard loop recording element on the dashcam.
The R2-4K dashcam alerts you with a voice message when an incident occurs. The G-sensor triggers the notification if any footage gets captured.
How do I benefit from the G-sensor?
The built-in G-Sensor feature of the Rove R2-4K dashcam has many benefits. The most beneficial occurs as a result of something offensive.
When something out of the ordinary occurs with your vehicle, the sensor starts recording in an instant and stores the incident in a secure area on the memory card automatically. Later on, you can retrieve the crucial footage of the incident to claim the insurance or pass the file to the police.
